Elephant Pepper Camp
While walking is not permitted within the Masai Mara Reserve, the neighboring conservancies are authorized to conduct bush walks.
Among these is the Mara North Conservancy, home to Elephant Pepper Camp. The bush walks here emphasize the local flora and fauna, particularly the renowned 'elephant pepper' trees that flourish in and around the camp.
These trees are known for their leaves and fruit with a spicy taste, and they possess numerous medicinal properties. Interestingly, they are also a favorite among the elephants in the area.
